How do you enable recording on this...I have Cool Edit Pro as well, and I know u have to click the [R] box to record, is there something similar to this on Reason Adapted?

Reason (and Reason Adapted) don't record audio, just MIDI information.

I use Reason Adapted With Pro Tools: I get the L/R on a stereo channel in Pro Tools. It is possible to record it audio there.

I have no experience with syncing Reason with Rewire with Cool Edit... Not possible I think..

If you've ever visited a recording studio the transport control with the red button should look familiar...

reason adpted is a scaled down version of the program that propellorhead designed for digidesign.
The program you have is for protools.
Not Cool Edit.
But, you can run that version of reason as a stand alone unit.

How do you record?

well the drum machine records by pushing the little buttons on the tempo strip(16 squares)this unit is called REDRUM.

as for keyboard parts etc...
plug your midi controller in to your interface.
then boot up reason.
Now go to preferences/midi/port.
and your interface should be in the menu.
Select that and you should be hooked up.
if youre interface is not in the menu...
Well youre Sh*t Outta Luck!
Go buy pro tools.

heh.

Be sure what you're saying is accurate before you start spouting off.

"propellorhead" (sic) did NOT design Reason Adapted for Digidesign but rather as a general distribution, cut down and cut price version of a very popular program.

If you had experience with any other platform than 'protools' you might be less likely to believe that it's the only worthwhile program...

Spouting off.
I went and researched what you said a little deeper and you were right.
Adapted is made for any editor who supports the rewire architechture.
I stand corrected.
Thanx for the info.

by the way...
You seem to know quite a bit about the whole elctronic music thing.
Might i be able hear some of the electronic music youve written sscientist?
like in the mp3 clinic or somethin?

peace.

:)
