I recently purchased Project5 v1.5 and would like to add some "old school" plug-in synths. After a lot of demo downloading, etc., I've decided on the Native Instruments Xpress Keyboards Bundle package. I'd like to go with the full blown synths, but the price for each of the three full blown synths runs around $200 each. Ouch! The Xpress package is only $100, and since I'm just a hobbyist... well, you get the idea. But there's a problem...
The Xpress Keyboards package is strictly VST. I know that there's a VST to DXi conversion/"wrapping" utility included with Project, but before I spend $100 on the plug-ins, I want to know if anyone has had any problems with this type of setup.
Anytime a conversion utility is involved; especially with computers, I get somewhat paranoid, so it's as I said... I don't want to spend $100 downloading something that might not work.
Thanks in advance for any and all input.
