Actually, you have to look at your mixer as a "recording console" and a "playback console". Therefore... two consoles. Without having specifics as to what your particular setup is, I would assume that you will need to get more cabling to "return" from your DAW as well as "send' to your DAW. I have a cheap Mackie 24/8 console and I 'wired' my direct channel outputs to the DAW convertor inputs. I then 'wired' the DAW convertor outputs to the '"line B return' on my Mackie console. If you do not have a "Line B return" on your console, you will probably have to 'wire' it to line-in of some spare channels, or consider getting another cheap console, such as a Mackie 1204 or 1604 to use as a 'playback' console. There may be a way you can do it with what you have, but not knowing the specifics of your system, I can not advice you. You may have a "mode selection" feature that will switch you from "recording mode' to "playback mode' with what you already have. Check your user manual and see what it says about this. My first inclination is that you will have to have two sets of cables... one in... and one out. Good luck!!
