Lots of people do this. I didn't hear you say that you had Acid? Anyways, most of the music software programs on the market allow you to drag and drop tracks about. Once you record the portion of the track that you want to "loop", open it up with your Software app. (N Track). So you have the drums or whatever laid down in N-Track on track 1. Record the guitar part onto track 2. The tricky part is that you will have to try to get the "loops" or tracks to line up and sync with the other tracks. If N-track (Which I have not used) does not allow you to open mulitple wavs, or copy a single mav multiple times on a track, you may have to open a new track for each time you want the "loop" to play. So you would stagger them.
Track1+++Guitar Riff+++
Track2............................+++Guitar Riff+++
Track3........................................................ ++++Guitar Riff++++
Etc.
Acid allows you to "loop" any audio track which simply means that when you reach the end of the snippet (or Loop) it automatically loops the snippet where the last ended when you drag the audio track past its end point. It can also quick fade the edges so that they seem to run together, thus reducing stutter or break.
Give me more info if that doesn't help.
