Using Ipad as guitar effects processor

this is such a hard question to get an answer to. basically i have garageband on the ipad, i don't mind using those effects as my guitar effects and i want to know how to connect my guitar to my ipad - use the guitar effects from garageband or amplitube apps - and then connect my ipad to an amp or PA if need be? now, i already know the "how do i connect guitar to ipad" part - but how do i send that signal to an external source that isn't a PC?

isn't there an analog out on that thing?
