I have a FOSTEX VF-160 recorder I am trying to use the compressor but unfamilliar with it.I have tried many different settings with the THRESHOLD/RATIO/ATACK/GAIN sometimes it sounds great sometimes distorted what am I doing wrong or what are the better settings I should use.
