Using a triton LE to play drum parts

I'm using my triton LE to make drum beats with for my songs. It would be really useful to assign the same drum sound (kick drum for example) to two separate keys. Like C1 and D1 would be a the same sound. How can I do this? I've tried using the drum mapper in cubase LE(which is the MIDI sequencer i'm using) and I can't seem to get it to work right. Could someone tell me exactly step by step how to do this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
 
Uh, you use the drum mapper. What do you not get on it? You will need to map out the drum kit (it should be in the manual).

Go to the drum map, make a new one. Now you will see each key on the left colum, then you can assign a drum name and the note that it triggers on. Just assign two to the same trigger
 
yeah i've done that and it still doesn't do anything. I've made sure it's on the right channel and output and everything and still.
 
Just set the O-note (the output note) to the same thing for two consecutive notes

how come the GM map doesn't match up to my drum parts in my triton? Like there would be a bass drum where the GM map says there is a snare or something.
 
cause its a GM map which is pretty dated. You need to make your own to match what you have as a kit for the triton
