I am using a pc, a little 4 channel mixer, and and a M-audio 0404 soundcard.
I Wanted active monitors, but the budget only allowed for Truth B2030p Monitors, they have a 6.75" woofer and xlr and 1/4" connectors.
They handle 100w and 75Hz-21kHz.

My Stereo reciever is an old ALLIED and is 100 watts, I was wondering if someone could help me with the best way to hook this up as I am going to build a special shelf for it all. thanx

Is this that stupid of a question, or nobody has a clue what I'm talking about.

Plug the main 1/2 outputs from your soundcard into the aux input on the reciever, then plug your speakers into the speaker outputs on the reciever, set the reciever's input control to the aux position.

Depending on the connections, you might have to go to radio shack and get some adaptors to make it work.

What would routing the soundcard through the mixer to the reciever do?

What are you using the little mixer for, mainly as preamps for the soundcard?

Most little mixers are somewhat limited in their routing abilities, it may be possible to put it in between the soundcard and the amp, but if it's primary use is as preamps it might be difficult to isolate direct outputs to feed your soundcard's inputs and still have the computer's main outs feeding into it and being routed to your monitor amp at the same time, this can sometimes result in a feedback loop, and/or a loopback that could cause already recorded tracks to get re-recorded onto any overdubs.

It is a Behringer Eurotrack ub1002. I gotta start somewhere.
