I dont know if this is commonly known stuff... but by controling feedback loops on my mixer ive managed to make a great sounding analogue synth :S

If you want audio samples il upload some... I just wanted to know if anyone else knew this was possible?

id like to hear some clips. Can you control pitch and stuff?

yup, by using the volume sliders you can control pitch... you can control all different forms of oscillation... its really cool... il upload some stuff soon!

I did this the other day by accident for a while, its fun and sounds pretty cool

I sure didn't know this was possible. Could you give us some information on how this is done in addition to your audio clips. This sounds really cool.

Yup... Sounds interesting to me.... Elaboration on this concept is hereby formally requested...

:o Okaaaaaay!

OK, well basically I thought... 'If i make a feedback loop.. it makes a nasty sound... but atleast that nasty sound stays in tune'... so ideliberately patched a channel of my mixer directly back into itself, causing a feedback loop.

I then changed the variables on the desk, such as volume and EQ and this also had an effect on the sound. Il upload my examples right now and leave a post in a minute with links.

Cool stuff... I like the slides one best... Thanks for the info..

Thanks for the new and original idea. Your music sounds great as well, are you signed yet.

Wow! I completely love your music. Do you record it yourself, or at a studio? You sound like a more talented Johnny Lang

I don't get it....how do you connect all this??????

Pictures! What kind of synth/mixer, etc.

Very cool, I just don't know how you did it.

Very simple. Its a 24 Channel Behringer Mixer... but im guessing you can do it with any mixer with some kind of feedback return.

All I did was connect Aux Send 1 output into a channel input with a patch cable. Turning up the gain and volume level on the channel then produces feedback (beware, keep levels very low.. especially monitors). The by adjusting Volume, Pan and EQ you can adjust the pitch and the speed of the sound.

Give it a go!
