Using a DBX compressor with a GK Bass amp

I’m trying to figure out how I can use a DBX 1066 compressor with my Gallien-Krueger bass amp. I have both active and passive basses. There seems to be a huge impedance issue with the IN/OUTS, so I’m wondering how to do it. Someone advise me to use an in line preamp and a reamp box, but I lack details as how to wire everything. Suggestions/solutions please?

Got to go out now but. Does the G K amp have an FX loop? Also please give the model and a user book if possible.

"Oil be bek!

Dave.

What happened when you hooked up the compressor that made you think there was a problem? Hooking up compressors and such is pretty much what that send and return is for.

I think that the mistake I made was to compress 2 times with the 2 channels of the DBX:
bass>DBX>GK instrument input and then GK send>DBX>GK return.
there was DEFINITLY a high noise/sound ratio.
I think it’s because of the first hook.

You mean I posted on two places? Yes, I apologize, I am new to this forum and was not sure if the post was in the right subject.
should I delete the other one?
