Is it possible to use a boombox as a mixer? If so, how would you go about doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

do you have a particular boombox in mind....what kind of mixing are you looking to do?

No boombox in particular, just something that is particularly cheap. What i'm trying to do is not get a wild signal when i record and also use the boombox's eq.

Ok... maybe I'm missing something, but...

...a mixer takes a wide variety of mics and signal sources, streamlines them using pres and lets you do nice things such as routing, EQing, blending, etc.... to send them to some sort of recorder or other device.

A boombox is a playback format that plays CDs, tapes, the radio... so exactly how could you use a boombox as a "mixer"?????????

A really  bear...

A boombox cannot be used as a mixer, like Bruce said....but if you have TWO boomboxes.....

You can't use a boom box, but a car stereo works great...but only if it's got tons of bass...3 subwoofers minimum. ;)
