I have old Soundblaster 16 + Roland Daughter board and one SB Live! soundcard.. But SB live! didn't have port to connect with roland daughter board..
So I have to use Sb16 though.. Do you know how can I use 2 soundcard at the same time?? I have post about this several time/place but never get any single reply.. Please help me.. Thanks!

If you have free resources for both sound cards, then once you get them installed and configured without any resource conflicts there shouldn't be a problem. What exactly is the problem you are having getting both cards to work? I have an SB Live card and will be installing a second SB Live this week that someone gave me to test it out. I'll post whatever problems I run into. Even if the older card you have locks into specific resources and is difficult to change, the SB Live card should be flexible enough to work around it.

And this mean that you have to connect line out of both soundcard to seperate speakers? Is there anyway to use only 1 line out to the speakers? And can I use both soundcard a tt the same time?

Sorry, In fact it isn't like "it's not working" but if I connect speaker to SB16 and set the output device to Sb16 it work and at the same thing to SB Live! and here is the problem :
1. I have to switch the line out to speakers from SB16 and SB Live! Which doesn't make sense
2. I have to change the output device everytime I want to change the "output device" again..
Isn't there any better way?

Ok, I'm still waiting for answers.. Please help me.. Thanks a lot all cool guys..

Hey.. I know that there must be someone who can help me.. Please.. :)

You're going to have to use the outputs of both cards in any case to get the multiple outs you're trying to get from multiple cards. Each of these cards has only one line out. You can run the line outs of each into a mixer and then to an amp so that the whole mess can be heard on a single pair of speakers. Good luck. You're braver than me...

So that's the only way, right? Ok, I'll have to find another cable first.. Thank you!

I have basically the same setup. An SB16 and a Live! I'm using the SB16 as a
stereo aux in and out. Kind of like an effects loop with Cakewalk to access
external gear. I had problems at first and the folks at Creative said they
didn't support two cards. They told me to take the Sb16 out and reload the
Live!. I did no such thing and it works fine now. I just had to play with the settings
to get it to work. Man, a shabby customer support group and a crappy manual.
It's a good thing we have these BBS outlets to rely on.
