Use Audio to midi trigger reason?

Hi Im using Cubase 5 along with Reason 4.
We've recorded at a different studio, and the kick drum sounds TERRIBLE. Is there some way that I could use the audio "pulses" from the audio kick to trigger reason kick in redrum?

Any help or other ideas welcome, as Im new to this

Hi frnx,

similar things have happened in a record i did about a year ago, so i can't reproduce it exactly at the moment. while i fixed this with some help of a friend of mine who used Celemony's MELODYNE-Software where you can easily remove/replace notes and convert this into MIDI, while i was not willing to pay 300+€ to do be able to do it myself.

It would be fantastic if someone found a solution inside Reason, to e.g. live record a microphone track, which would be simultaniously converted to trigger the midi-instruments inside reason....

However, as i see your post is already a little old, did you figure it out already?
