USB Pre-amps in the $100 range

Hi, i don't know if this is the right forum, so i apologise if it is not.

I want to be able to record directly and/or through a non-usb mic and am looking at instrument/mic pre-amp in the 100 dollar range but I don't know what one is the best for me.
