USB Mouse or PS2?

This may be a case of being too pedantic, but why not?

Do you use a USB mouse or a PS2 mouse? I happen to be looking at the manual for my Audio Interface, and they recommend not having your mouse and AI, on the same bus so as to avoid the mouse causing a hiccup.

I am setting up a new machine for the studio. Its a quad core, 7GB RAM machine, so I am guessing I won't have to worry.

I was just wondering if anyone had dealt with mouse issues before?
 
You have a quadcore machine with a PS/2 port?!? On older machines where there were both options, I always went with PS/2 because a mouse at an interrupt level worked better - the USB mice always stuttered. I haven't seen anything new for a few years with anything but USB ports. But as the machines have gotten so much faster, I haven't noticed any stuttering in a long time.
