I have a TASCAM US122 which runs over the USB. I had no trouble at all. Some people do. I am very happy with mine.

I recorded the song in my signature line with it. Give it a listen!

I got a mbox its a nightmare. And its defiently an usb issue, since i got it to kinda work by changing usb ports and cable. its still not usable yet.

If you're not on a laptop, just save yourself time and money and go for a PCI card.
