I had my mind set on the Tascam US-122, but after reading alot of negative feedback regarding XP compatibility issues and clicks/pops in playback I am thinking if there are any other options in the same pricerange. What I need is a pair of analog ins for transfer from my reel2reel and 1, maybe 2 mic inputs.

Thanks

Does it have to be usb? A pci interface will be much more reliable

yes it does have to be usb as I am using it with my laptop

Doesn't your laptop have a PC-Card slot? Get the Echo Indigo IO.

Firewire can be added to your laptop (if it doesn't already have it) via PCMCIA card slot adapter also. It all depends on your needs and you budget.

I guess I could do that, but if it's not necessary I'd rather not. My budget is limited and as said above I will only need the interface for transfer from my Tascam reel2reel and a mic input or 2 would be nice. I won't be doing any heavy processing or anything.

The Indigo IO costs less than the 122 ($179).
