US-428 Problem...

I have been using a Tascam US-428 for a while now, and I've had a persistant problem. I was wondering if any other US-428 owners have had this problem.

I using the board with a 400 MHz PowerMac G3 with 128 megs of RAM and Cubase 5.

I'll be using the board for a while (anywhere from a full day to a couple of hours) when suddenly all audio stops, and instead of sound, I just get loud static. The only remedy is to turn off the board and back on, which is no problem since it is USB, but it's still annoying.

Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

Just look at the number of furious posts on the Tascam BBS and on Cubase.net. Your problem is twofold. Cubase sucks and the 428 isn't compatible with software that doesn't.

I took mine back to the Guitar Center and exchanged it for a 788 which I'm linking to Cakewalk via midi. I strongly suggest you do the same.
