us-1800 and CEP2.0

I purchased a Tascam US-1800 and was hoping it would work with CEP2.0. Cool Edit does see the interface but it only sees 2 tracks. The unit came with Cubase 5LE and it connected with it just fine, but boy oh boy, want a learning curve. Totally different than cool edit.


Anyone having any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Just a hunch, but see in the other tracks if you can select other channels, like 3/4 to check if only allows you to see the first two or something. Also, makae sure you are selecting the ASIO interface to the TASCAM. I don't use CoolEdit, but there seems to be a pattern to these DAWs, one being, selecting inputs per track. Just a thought.
