hey prophecy,

If you select 'microphone' in the taskbar-mixer (or even 'what u hear') and select left/right or stereo as the source, you should be allright...

ok the problem is that i need to record from the LINEIN input, and ALSO from the microphone input at the same time.

I don't think it's possible to record two 'ins' simultaneously with the SBlive, but do you really need to? I mean, can't you record the tracks one at the time?

nope !! =(
because im sending miy mixer tape out to the line input (overheads) and the Alt output (snare) to the microphone

I think i'll have to install another sound card
=(

Hi Prophecy,

The SB Live is only meant to record a single stereo source at a time. You can record two mono sources by getting a stereo RCA to 1/8" cable from Radio Shack. Plug that into the line input and record different instruments to the left and right parts of the stereo source. But other than that, you'll need to look into another sound card. Check out www.aardvark-pro.com, www.midiman.com, and www.echoaudio.com for some good products.

Best,
Scott
