I didnt even know where to post this message....there really is no place for it, but I have to ask....has anyone ordered equipment lately and it was shipped UPS? Reason I am asking is I ordered a few things and everything that was shipped via UPS was busted.

I ordered an MV8000 about a month about and the whole side of it was all cracked. Since i bought it off ebay i figured maybe it was this way and the seller was just being shady about it, but it was really hard for me to believe it because the person seemed very trust worthy, but I just let it go because I got a great price on it.

Then, I order a Tascam FW1082 and the thing wasnt busted up, but the box was all smashed. I let that go to since the thing was damaged.

BUT NOW, I just ordered a new computer and the entire front of the computer case was totally smashed and broken. I pressed th CD tray button and the whole thing just fell apart.

Now its just rediculous, especially because they charged me a $30 COD which i wasnt even aware of until i opened the door. I didnt mind paying the charge, but I would like to know my packages are going to be handled correctly, nto thrown around. Anyway, Im done venting.

Anyone else had problems using UPS???

Did you buy insurance on any of that stuff? That should be lesso #1 and here's why:

Stuff breaks. Boxes rip, fold, tear, smash, and all sort of other stuff.

I understand being upset, I have been before too.

I also worked in a freight dock at the DFW airport for two consecutive christmases. I handled several thousand christmas gifts a year. While not every package is fully respected they also aren't just rolling them underneath tractors and what not. So, if a box is smashed it was probably caused by another box and not an employee.

UPS holds a lot of stock with me though because int he last month they have been extremely generous with a project my office was coordinating with them on. I will try to use them first from now on.

I understand. I have ordered plenty of things in the past using UPS and never had a problem until now. Though after the last 3 consecutive packages I received in the past month it leads me to believe something is wrong here. I know packages might be pushed and tossed a bit and have packages on top of packages, but the products were packaged VERY WELL and they would have had to really be thrown pretty harshly to be as busted as they were.

No, i didnt not have the insurance on the packages because it was not offered by the companies or senders i bought from. I will request it in the future from now on though.

That seems odd. UPS will insure any package. Actually I think they already have some automatic insurance limit like $200 or something. So, you could prob file for that amount and use it for repairs. Check into that.

I don't know what else to tell you about the 3 consec packages other than your luck sucks lately. Order something else and see if the string has been broken. Maybe a cheap fabrege egg? haha

Keep on truckin my friend!
