I've uploaded a song from my CD to my hardrive and sent it to mp3.com and it is waiting for approval. I've listened to the song from my hardrive on my computer speakers, and, even though it is a far from perfect recording, it is comparable to a lot of the stuff I've been streaming and downloading from others. My question is, if I or someone else streams my stuff from mp3.com will it sound like it does from my hardrive now? Or will more sound degregation or compression take place before coming back from mp3.com.

One more thing, the whole mix is brighter or biased to the midrange or something now that it's on my hardrive. I expected this to a certain extent because my speakers are small and it has been compressed to mp3. But, even with that considered, it is still brighter than some of the other stuff I'm hearing. The mix, at least eq wise sounds about right off of my CD on most of the stereos I've played it on. My second quesiton is Are you guys compensating for this during the mix when it will go to mp3? Should I make 2 different mixes, One for my personal cds and another for the ones that will be uploaded? Split the difference, what? Talk to me.

Yeah, this site has been down for me all day. Just came back, anyone else having this trouble getting on? Thanks for the quick response.

Yeah, I was just now able to get on about a half hour ago. I sent a message to Dragon this afternoon to let him know the bbs was down.
