Upgrading Hardware

I'm building a new PC and using Sonar Producer 8.5. My current studio machine is using the old Aarvark Direct Pro Q10 (2 units). I want to upgrade to something similar or better as a multiple input interface. Any suggestions? I would like 16 input, but will settle for 8 that can be added to later.

It may not be what your looking for but I love my Allen and Heath Zed R16 firewire mixer. 16 in 18 out. You can mix analog or keep it in the box and using the faders as MIDI control. You can use the mixers eq section which is just sublime. The preamps are clean with massive headroom and sound very nice. The A/D conversion is very good as well. It's an awesome studio board and it integrates with Sonar very well. Transport control on the board, a MIDI control section (separate from the faders) flexible routing options. Mix in the box or out your choice. Awesome interface.

Allen and Heath Zed R16 firewire mixer, Allen and Heath Zed R16 | eBay ,pricey.

I went a much cheaper rout. A Tascam US-1800 , go to the Tascam site and check out there stuff. I have not had 1 problem.

Though I would like something like the Allen and Heath unit, a controller.
