Upgrading from the 90s...Really basic audio interface question

Hi, Ive decided its time to finally upgrade my recording setup from my Fostex FD-8 to a computer recording system which is probably going to involve Cubase. My question though is about Audio Interfaces, Ive read loads of stuff and I sort of semi-understand them. I still want to use my old set up, all my old preamps and mics, I just want something mid-level that connects my amps output to the computer. Im a Focusrite fan and liking the Focusrite Scarlet 2i2, can this do that? Im happy with all my sounds & I dont want to put the signal through another pre-amp, so if I select the line option will it just go straight in to the computer? The equipment/outputs I will be using are the Focurite Voice Master Pro and the D.I output of my guitar/keyboard amp. Cheers in advance for any thoughts/help

Yes, yes and yes. The 2i2 will do what you want if you use the line inputs. Be advised that you get no midi (which is not really a problem on a computer system). Other than that. Happy Recording :D
