Upgrading Cubase LE

Hey all,

I cuccently have cubase LE and am planning on upgrading because I just realized that it only suppors 4 VST Inputs :( Well let me know what I should upgrade to...keeping in mind that I dont want to drop too much coin.

I think that Upgrading to Studio 4 would be about $200

and upgrading to Cubase SE3 would be about $35.....

what do you guys think?

keep in mind that the only reason I am upgrading is to have more Imputs.....otherwise I was completely happy

i dont know too much about se3 but i'd say go with studio 4. hell, the 165 extra dollars mustve went to something right? besides i heard good things about it
 
SE3 limits you to 8 audio inputs. If you don't need anymore than that it should work. I upgraded from Cubase LE to Studio 4. I went through Steinberg. You can't upgrade online you have to call them. They tell me it won't ship until the end of July because they are waiting for supply from Germany.

I'm running Cubase LE version 1.07. I am getting 10 inputs from my Firepod. I understand that this version has unlimited inputs. If you have version 1.08 you are limited to 4 and version 1.10 will give you 8.
 
Then how do i get that (1.07)? is that a downgrade from 1.10???
 
I don't think you can get it anywhere. I got it with a Presonus Firebox a few years ago. They no longer ship with that version.
 
since you guys use Cubase LE, i thought i remembered seeing dynamics somewhere in there, but I'm doing some mixing right now and can't seem to find it anymore.

does LE have dynamics, or did i dream that up??
 
LE has dynamics. I didnt liked the way that worked, i use "Classic Compressor" which you can find as a free vst on the internet.
