Getting better
Hello all.

I have been purchasing individual parts to upgrade my Asus/PIII 1 gig/ 512 gig memory computer. Here's what I have so far - what do you think?:

ASUS P4P800 Deluxe MB
Pentium 4 2.8 800 fsb processor
2 sticks of Kingston 512 mg pc3200 memory

I've already got a 40 gig apps HD and an 80 gig for audio (and video).
My setup is a Delta 66, and I rarely record more than two tracks at a time.

I tried to hit a balance between reliability, performance and value. What do you experts think? Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks in advance,
Fab

Agreed ... you should do quite well with the components you have selected.

Zalman power supply and Zalman cpu cooler fan would be good additions

I run a nearly identical rig. Same mobo, Hynix ram, Delta 44.
I've been recording @ 24/88.2 recently, works real well
