Upgrade to something worth using?

If I replaced the tube in my ART Tube MP with a better tube would that significantly change the sound of the pre? Would it be worth it? And are there any other mods I can do that would increase its performance? Thanks,

Would it change? probably...... would it be worth it?? doubtful.......

Consider that these faux tube devices, if they actually put the tube in the circuit at all (rather than using the tube as a glowing prop), the tube is a circuit PARALLEL to the solid state path, so it only introduces a slight coloration......

And no matter how many mods you make, you won't be able to turn a Tube MP into a Manley, so I'm not sure what the benefit to the mod would be...... just buy a better pre in the first place!
