AlChuck,

Can you give us an idea of what this tool does?
I have no idea as i've never used it before.

Thanks!

The program tells you what .wav files are associated with what projects.

AlChuck is correct - if you are running Sonar version 1.3.1 you have to get the latest version of CWAF (ver. 2.1, I think). Otherwise it will tell you that the .wav files from your .cwp and .cwp projects are "orphans" and not associated with any Cakewalk/Sonar project.

A1MixMan,

Its for people who don't save their work using .bun and then lose their wav files. And then when you find them, you don't know which file belongs to which project. Deep s**t, as I know to my cost. I will ALWAYS in future save my work as a .bun at the least, at the end of each session and as a normal wav file as an interim save, immediate work in progress type back-up.

Ain't life fun!

Ooooh, dachay2tnr, I never even thought about that consequence... yikes! Glad I didn't use the older version after upgrading to 1.3...

I saw your earlier post about this in my thread "Saving .BUN files instead of Projects" - Does this new upgraded finder version still work with Cakewalk Pro 9?

As far as I know it does, but you don't need it for PA9.

With Sonar 1.3.1 they changed the file extensions for Sonar project files (i.e., .wrk became .cwp, .bun became .cwb, and so on). Since the old CWAF only looked for .wrk and .bun files, it wasn't finding any associations for these new formats.

PA9 still only writes .wrk and .bun files, so there's really no need for the update.

If you're running both Sonar and PA9, then get the new CWAF - it will work for both programs.
