I posted the lyrics of this song a while back. I recorded it, and though the mix kinda sucks ....here it is.
lyrics (copyright 2003)
theres a new invasion here in Dixieland,
by folks that want to change the things that they don't understand,
the stars and bars are gone now,
and you won't see cornel Reb no more.
we've lost the 1st few battles,
but this time we won't lose the war.
Chorus
we're sons of sons of rebel sons who rebell against the things,
that rob us of our heritage till none of it remains.
if you don't love us leave us,
be gone with the wind.
its time here down in dixie for the south to rise again.
class action lawyers lead the charge
attacking our paychecks,
now they want to take away our guns,
which freedom will be next?
break out the tar and feathers,
and load 'em all up in a truck.
send 'em back to new york city,
man, down here we've had enough.
repeat chorus
political corectness is a cancer we don't need,
its grown and taken over every aspect of our speach,
they've banned the 10 comandments,
and prayer from all of our schools,
while they teach our little girls now,
about a womans right to choose.
i changed a line or 2 since the last time i posted....
mainly "class action lawyers lead the charge they suck on our paychecks"
to
"class action lawyers lead the charge attacking our paychecks"
I thought "class action fit nicely with "attacking"...and it sings better
"suck" came from the original way I wrote the verse....
"them city slicker lawyers
keep us wondering whats next,
and the thing that sucks
is they're all suckin' on all of our paychecks"
i think its a stronger verse now because "attacking" and "lead the charge" fits the civil war theme of the song
tell me what you think so far guys....I can rewrite this sucker again and change the music....its kind of a work in progress
