Here's an update of that song that I don't have a title for yet.

visit 'mrlippp'
get the file named '26mix2.mp3'
it's roughly 4MB

There's this kind of weird knocking sound in the begining of the mp3 that isn't present in the wav file.

Other than that, how does it sound? Anything that should be changed?

First of all, let me re-iterate that I totally dig this song. I could see ten-thousand lighters in a smoky concert hall and everybody swaying side-to-side with the music.
That being said, the only thing I would change is the drum part at the beginning of the change part at the 2:23 mark.
Take that drum part that is used at 2:28 and copy it to 2:23 where the change starts.
That's it! Otherwise, it rocks! ;)

Buck: Thanks. I tried that drum fill you suggested and it just sounded too cluttered with this change. In the first measure of the solo, there's a snare hit at beat 1-1/2. With those eigth note snare hits you suggested at the end of the preceding measure, there's just too much snare. Thanks anyway though.

Too bad the way I have it now makes it physically impossible for a real drummer to play unless he can do one-handed rolls really really well.

Do you think the vocal should come up a notch? Sometimes I feel like it's competing with the other instruments, but then for this style of music I guess the vocal doesn't really need to stick out too much unless I'm aiming for Top 20 (which I'm not.)

Also, is the bottom end too boomy?

Now that you mention it, it would be interesting to hear slightly less bottom.
If you want to put that vocal up a notch or two that would be great, but I'd cut back a bit on the reverb if you do.
I know what your saying about the drum part... sorry to be such a pain in the arse! :)
