I have one power amp, and 2 sets of monitors. Does anyone know if there is an inexpensive unit that I can plug multiple monitors into and just switch between different monitors without having to repatch back and forth to the amp all the time?

Thanks,
Sponge Bob

The lowest cost unit I've seen is from Radio Shack (don't have the model # in front of me right now). I've have mine for a long time - but it was somewhere in the $20 range - if I recall.

It can control 4 sets of speakers - two wires from the amp with 2 wires to each speaker (positive & negative terminals).

It uses bare speaker wire - so you may have to make some adjustments if your speakers don't accept bare wire, but other than that it is a very low cost, user friendly unit.

How about in the under 200 range?
I would like something that won't hinder my monitors
sound in any way I hope!

Thanks

Off topic, but I just had to say that SpongeBob Squarepants is only the greatest show on television! Thank God my young nephew and niece hipped me to it!

Sponge Bob,
Do a search at Radio Shack for this product: Cat.#: 40-240

It's a $20 3-way speaker selector rated at 50w. It should be fine for home rec. purposes, but you really don't need to spend $200 on a speaker selector. If you don't feel comfortable with Radio Shack, go to a high end home audio store where I'm sure they'll have others that cost about $50-$80.
