a quick question

When I record a track in CEP I usually delete the first and last peice of a new guitar take for example, the time needed to put the machine on and off. Anyway, When I splice the peices and just delete them, they are still there when I dubbelclick to edit the wave. But when I 'convert to unique copy', it is suddenly gone.

Is there anyway to get this done automatically without having to convert it?

yeah...If you are in multitrack..double click the wav to bring it in wav edit..then double click on the wav..(it'll highlight just the part on the screen. Then hit the "trim out all except the selected portion" button and it'll delete what is not selected..it's by the undo buttons..
