Ok, I have a Creative Live Drive II (I know its a piece, Im getting a delta 44 for Christmas) and its not working quite right, so I uninstalled the program, but the sound card still works. Can any one tell me how to completely rid my system of this soundcard. Then I will reinstall it and hopefully it will work. I have Windows XP if that matters, thanks!

If you don't plan on using the SB after getting the delta, open the case and pull the card out.

A few things have me confused though in your post:

Does the card work or not?

By program I'm guessing you uninstalled the audio apps, creative mixer and such. To uninstall the card from windows, right click 'my computer', select 'properties', go to 'device manager', 'sound, video and game controllers', remove anything that resembles sound in there.

Next time you reboot it will just redetect it all though. You can 'disable' the card in device manager however. If it's a question of removing it permanently, easiest way is just to physically pull the card out.

Ya, sorry I didnt explain that well, The soundcard does work, buy when I click on the mixer, volume ect... functions it says "Failed to load plugings" So I want to make all of that stuff work. Thanks!!

You have to manually delete all .DLL and .DRV files associated with the SB. The appropriate files are listed un the Device manager under the Driver tab for the SB card.
