hello again! i applaud the adjustments!
one thing i noticed on the new version but not the old (myspace) version is, there seems to be a tape hiss type sound that appears periodically, and i also noticed it at the beginning of your second track on soundclick. is this perhaps a single coil pickup behaving badly?
i still maintain that this is a great song, and the drums seem less noticable this time around. did you change any of the fills, or just scoot back the drums in the mix to make them less prominent?
it's a funny thing about mixes--i'm not really sure which one i like better now, listening to them back to back. there are small things i'd change on each, but i do this with my own mixes, and i never feel like i really nail a single one!
then again, at this point i've listened to the song so many times that i just hear it for what it is and any objective critique is impossible...but doesn't that just mean that above all else, this song is very very listenable??? that may be the best critique of all!

I'm torn over the really present vocals. I'm not sure if I like them so up front or whether they would be better pushed back with some reverb. Probably the latter.....
