Unbalanced cords

Probably a stupid question...so here goes: I've been using the Behringer ub802 for a while with no problems and good recordings. I just upgraded to the1202 and noticed my stereo recordings are unbalanced. The manual clearly shows the balanced type end of a phono jack to get a balanced signal. All of my guitar cords are of the unbalanced type. Is there a radio shack fix for this, or do I need to buy new cords (and are they readily available at 'Jakes Bait & Guitars' or wherever?). I just never came across this before. The strange thing is that, I always got balanced stereo using the same cords with the 802, and the inputs say- BAL OR UNBAL, just like the 1202. Thanks a lot people. :o

Balanced in reference to cables doesn't have anything to do with the left/right balance. Balanced cables are used to keep out interference and noise. If your recordings are shifted left or right there is some other issue.
Is this what you are asking?

Thanks for the info. I just noticed this, and didn't have time to check my other channels to see if this problem runs across the board. I'll check it out. Thank you for the response.
