Unable to monitor output in Cubasis VST 4

I can't monitor the output from a midi keyboard - there is activity in the input meter but no sound although I can record and playback ok. Monitoring is enabled globally and on relevant channel. Creatives's own software (as supplied with the SB card), basic though it is, works fine in terms of monitoring.

Using Cubasis VST 4.0, XP, SB card, fast-enough pc with plenty of RAM.

Anyone any ideas? Help please!

Midi Thru was enabled in fact.

I found the solution on another forum - I downloaded the version 3 mros432.dll file from Steinberg's ftp site and replaced the version 4 one in the Windows/System32 folder. This cured the problem.
