You know whats funny....Check my other posts and i've never had any problems with other people untill saturday they either listen and say"tight/wack" and keep it moving. That may be, but from a sound engineering perspective, you ain't anywhere near a "grown ass man dog"....

1.if yuo cant take constructive criticism dont post. the mix IS a main ELEMENT to your song. so what if this is the HOP HOP forum? you think RICK RUBIN(CHECK THE SPELLING ON HIS LAST NAME) OR BRIAN "BIG BASS" WONT TELL IT LIKE IT IS? IM GOING TO LISTEN TO THE SONG NOW. MY NEXT REPLY WILL BE IN RESPONSE TO TEH MUSIC ASPECT NOT THE MIX ASPECT.

ok like i said i would listen to the beat. i wont comment on the mixing.


heres my comment on the beat. on a 1-10 with ten being the highest i will give it a 3 or 4. here is the break down.


1.you have nothing but drum and bass. where are the bells? strings? pianos during your verses? where is the music?

2.where are the change ups? i noticed no change ups or new instruments added.

3.where are the break downs? why didnt you take the kick out and ride with the hi hats,snare and bass for 4 measures? why didnt you take the snares out or just drop the bassline? why didnt you "CHOP" the bassline (im NOT going to explain what i mean by that in fact i shouldnt even asked).

you are lacking elements to make this beat stand out to ME. i have HIGHER standards than MANY people on this board when it comes to rap beats. i dont believe in the same thing looped over and over and over and over.


now on a personal note let me explain something to you. no let me ask you. what do YOU know about freeway rick? im from the BAY AREA of cali were CRACK was pumped into the ghettos. what do YOU know about this lifestyle? are you trying to sound cool or "down" or are you rapping about something that is YOUR reality?


now if you add some more elements to the song and clear your sample (if not get sued) it would be a good song. your lyrics are tight. im not gonna take away from your lyric ability.


beat wise it doesnt stand up to MY standards (you have your own). accept this as HONEST constructive criticism from one rapper to another. from one composer to another.

I know all about Freeway Rick I dont have to Try to sound down Im from Milwaukee we didnt deal much with Rick, the main connect in our area was Felix Mitchell You being from the Bay should know exactly who Im talking about...Nothin phoney here folkers...
