Hi All: I am a self taught home recordist that only has learned to use what I have at hand. I have been looking at the UAD paks and wonder if they will be compatible with my set up. I was born ages before the computer boom and my brain is more adept at things I can actually touch, so think of me as a small child in this arena. Here is what I have now:
PC running windows xp
delta 1010 soundcard - I use between 3-8 channels at a time when recording
samplitude recording software
real tube mic preamps
I am a real 1 man band-guitar, harp, drums, piano,all at once. I also make up all my words and music as I go along. No overdubs either. It is all 1 shot and done. I make about 300 full lenght cds a year, so production time is minimal. I have it down to about 3 minutes of mixing/mastering per song. Thanks. Walter
