I am all over that multiband :D I see that I get $147 credit towards it, I wonder how much full price is

That is gonna be sweeeeeet. I (and they) have needed a compressor as transparent as the limiter. I don't even need the multiband feature so much except for the odd de-essing here and there.

I like how they drop 4.1 tomorrow and then they go on holiday for a week

It's their way of telling us how bright we are - no one's gonna need customer support!

The sad part is that I really need another $400 for a 2nd card plus the $500 for this software.

I am concerned however that I would have almost $2000 in UAD plug ins invested after this and the future of PCI buss is not good . When and if they adopt the new PCI buss architecture already on many of the new motherboards out there, are my software investments going the way of the dodo bird? Would the current software plug ins work on a newly designed card?

Food for thought.

The Flex Pak gets you all three Precision plugs and a card. I got mine for $659.

I'm not too worried about PCI, but then I am using a three year old board and feel no need to upgrade. My mom still has a box running 98 that controls her embroidery machine. It has a couple of ISA slots

All the PCI-X stuff is mainly driven by gamers anyway. Everybody else figured out years ago there was no point to constant upgrades.

Except for us, of course :o
