I play metal, punk, grindcore etc.-- stuff where talent is optional ;)
(That's a joke, fellas... except for detuned6, who KNOWS what I mean firsthand :) ). Stuff like old Carcass, Misfits, attempts to sound like Clockhammer (GODS!!!), Eastern Euro grindcore, 70s stoner doom, you get the picture. I don't tune as low as Winter does though (or me strings'll be flappin in the breeze from the amp...)

I've really only recorded myself, so that's what I record. I'm experimenting with some other genres of playing, but some of those require actual skill :) hence I "experiment"...

I dig all sorts of stuff though. I'll go from Morbid Angel to Cat Stevens in one sitting. I've been getting into old jazz big time lately, esp. 30s-40s era stuff. The things they did with mono are amazing. And I'll always dig Led Zeppelin and Sick of It All, Black Sabbath, old 80s REM.... and, thanks to being subjected to his albums endlessly on Mom's old Toshiba turntable, a healthy appreciation for Neil Diamond. (Who knew he was so whacked-out? Check out "Hot August Night" and "Velvet Gloves and Spit"!!)

D6: We'll jam one a these days, brutha... once I clean this here shit off of this here fan... :)

I play and or record everything from Celtic to Country to Rock/Metel to BlueGrass (a fav) to Rap and everything in between.

I listen to mostly instrumental music - everything from light Jazz to Steve Vai to Dream Theater (not really instrumental). I enjoy all kinds of music though - especially all those cool tunes you hear in commercials :)

I write all instrumentals (have a very hard time writing lyrics) - Over the years i've written mostly 'progressive rock' and it usually turns out 'dark' (minor, harmonic minor, phyrigian, and some Japanese and Arabian scales).

The last few months i've really taken a dive into lighter "happy" music and my playing has become more "jazzy/fusion" oriented. Still instrumental though...
