Hi everyone. I just got a Tascam 246 repaired and the guy who repaired it said it still needs a bit of cleaning. Considering I paid the guy $75 an hour to fix it, I don't want him to spend more time on it cleaning it if i can Do it my self. So that leads me to my question. Is it easy to clean these things? If so, how should I go about safely doing it? Is it better to pay a professional? Also, I have heard that it is better to use Type II tape cassettes with these recorders. Could anyone explain to me what type II means and where I might be able to find a bunch for a good price? Thanks
