two soundcards at once?

The m-audio drivers allow it but you may be asking for a wealth of problems.

Alot of people have found that the busses don't handle it very well, with alot of I/O problems. My suggestioin would be to talk to a shop and see if you can try one and if it doesn't work bring it back...

How do you do this, just out of curiosity?

Just hook up the spdif out to the in on another card? Do you need to change the settings to anything besides spdif for the wordclock.

I swear I have read the manual and couldn't find info about it.
