Two Quick Sonar Questions

Okay, I HAVE read the help files but still can't quite get this:

1) When I open console view and then customize it (e.g., shut off midi tracks for example), when I close it and reopen it (during the same session), it is back to the original all-encompassing view.... even if I have saved the file. (when I close the session and reopen, the updated console is fine). Is there a way to save that particular view, so when I open it, only the tracks I have specified show? (the workaround is to simply shrink the console view, but I have console view "hotwired" to a key so I don't have to use the mouse to reopen it...hence the question)

2) I have a QS8 and can send a number of different controller messages. I would like to start recording with the auxilliary foot pedal. I gather Sonar cannot do that...that I have to hit the foot pedal, then a particular midi note.... is that accurate?

Thanks in advance. Have fun!

1) Nope. This is an annoying glitch in every cakewalk program!!!!

2) I don't know....sorry

I set mine up as I wanted it, then saved the empty file as a template. That seems to work. If you save it as the default template (within the Sonar directory), it seems to remember on every load.

As far as your second question, I had the same idea, but I could never get it to detect the midi message from my pedal board. I'll be watching this post to see if you get any answers!
