Two new acquisitions... for free!

I managed to grab a Yamaha FG331 and already have taken it up as my new writing/beater guitar!

It sounds good, not so tonefull but still it has a good sound, that gets the idea out there, when I lay a track it is on my high end hand crafted Eastman flattop guitar...
 
I just had a guy offer me a slightly modified '77 Gibson Les Paul Standard for the strat... what should I do!?

According to the seller, "I had it rewired with Gibson 'buckers (498t bridge and 490r neck), 70's cts pots and bumblebee caps so it has a lot of power and a great tone (towards the hot side). It has the usual wear with some belt-buckle rash and a couple of dings. Also, the previous owner put switches between the sound pots for coil taps which was stupid, but they don't get in the way at all."

Frets look in decent condition, if a little low.


Although I really like the tone of the Fender for cleans, for the style I play, a '77 Gibson LP Standard is quite a bit more appropriate.

What are your thoughts? Assuming my girlfriend's mom is cool with me trading up (which she is: I already plan on taking her out for a really nice dinner :D)
 
*bump* I'd really like some opinions on what you'd do in my situation? :)
