Fabulous - The performance is right on and I love all the little inflections/runs ? that you did in the the second song.

I like them both, but I prefer the time after time cover. It's very much in the style of the original but with the runs and other awesomeness of Javier Colons cover. Reminded me of both versions at once which is awesome.

Great covers

I prefer the first one - made your voice/tone shine a little bit more. Which one do YOU prefer - I guess we should ask that sometimes and we rarely do :-)

Thank you both for the insight.

@ ido1975 - I like them both, but for very different reasons. All in all though, I tend to be more at one with the darker side of music. I like the first one because I feel at home in melancholy, minor chords, and tragedy (in music). I go there more naturally than I do with the more perky or inspirational. I have to be in the mood for light-hearted music. I like the second one because it came out sounding organic, which is rare for me with that type of music.

To me, "Time After Time" suits your voice perfectly, but I wasn't really sold on "Heart Shaped Box." It sounded a little more contrived, whereas "Time After Time" sounded like you were just being yourself and not "trying" to sound like anything.

Of course, that may not actually be the case, but that's the way it sounded to me. In other words, "Time After Time" sounded effortless and very nice; "Heart Shaped Box" sounded a little forced and awkward. This is just my opinion though! :)
