I have to say that the staff at TV Jones was quite helpful, in helping me to detirmine just WHICH bridge humbucker to order for my Squier Bullet Special! Mostly, I wanted something that would bring the Squier up to being able to keep up with my Fender So-Cal Speed Shop Strat, for which the bridge humbucker that came with it is just fine. Then there's the types of music that I play, being mostly hot rod/surf guitar and rockabilly, and in discussing my needs the PowerTron Plus and MagnaTron were ruled out. My playing style...with the bass and reverb maxed on both my Line 6 Guitar POD 2.0 and Peavey TransTube 258 EFX, for low and thick tones...was also a deciding factor.
Once I have the PowerTron installed in the Bullet Special, then I can experiment, a bit, to determine which guitar gets standard tuned, and which one gets tuned down to D, G, C, F, A, D.
