turning on private messaging

It's always on. If your trying to PM someone just click on their username and you'll see the option to PM them.
 
Oh. I guess you had shut yours off.
It's in your settings.
 
A .. he just signed off. Guess he'll see the reply tomorrow.
 
Yeah, I tried as well. Unfortunately, I don't think I can fix that.

What didn't you see?

Top right on page 'Settings'. On the left side about halfway down click on 'General Settings'. Click on the appropriate buttons. Usually by default you should be getting notifications, but look and make sure. :)

I still do not have an option to PM you so your settings must be whacko.

Actually I just looked at your profile. You have deselected the messaging stuff. Go fix that. :)
