Tuning Drums

Ok, now I have no problem tuning snare and kick drums. The problem is tuning all of my toms. I can tune a guitar, but with toms I like don't hear the pitch. And I'm unsure of what pitch to tune them to. Some people say tune in 4th, some say in 3rds. If anybody has some sights to help me out please post them here. Thanks.

^^That site is incredibly complete and wise. Some one posted that link here a few weeks ago and I printed it out. I feel as though I should have paid tuition for it. It's great! If you read through it and study it, all of the questions that you wanted to ask and a lot that you didn't even know you needed to ask are answered.

Thanks for the link. I've been playing drums for 15 years and I feel like I've just been schooled something fierce. Definitely top-notch knowledge.
