hey...the first computer was made outta tubes...back in the 40s :rolleyes: :D

If it cant run protools, it's not a computer.

If it can run protools, it's ok.

If it DOES run protools, BURN IT HAHAHAHAHA

P.S. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It seems a bit excessive when you need an aerial photo to display the entire computer.....But if it gives my sterile digital recordings that tube warmth, I'm in. :D

I can see it now: Behr**ger Tube Computer Pro

Nice thread

I have three of those in my backyard. I get some crazy warm-ass recordings with a couple of those things hooked up to each other. :D

Can you imagine how much fun it would be to do digital audio recording on ENIAC?

  • 200 decimal digits of storage.
  • up to 5000 ips CPU speed *
  • smaller than a full-size school gymnasium **

* 5000 add/subtract, 385 multiply, 40 divide, or 3 square root instructions per second.
** barely

Sheesh. I could probably write a complete instruction-level emulator in BASIC on a TI-82 calculator that would outperform it....
