Im not sure which area to post this so I'll go here. I have an Alesis HD24.Im trying to transfer files from it to Sonar. I have set up the hd24 with the ip address, installed the ethernet card in the computer..troubleshooter says its working, set up IP address in computer. My little green light on the ethernet card refuses to light. It as if there is no info flowing to it. Well, actually there is no info flowing to it. What am I9 doing wrong???Ah!!!

silly question for you...

is the sonar in a regular pc? i dont really understand your question. maybe if you could explain a bit more thoroughly please?

Did you get a crossed cable? If not, that's your problem.

Yes the Sonar is in a standard PC..compaq 1.2 gig 512 memory. Im wondering if the alesis hd 24 is compatable with windows xp os? Im trying to dump all the tracks of a song(24) to the computer into sonar.I have an ethernet card in the computer and Im using a crossover cable. I cant get the 2 to talk.Jim

Errr... this might sound stupid, but did you try a regular cable? Maybe the input on the Alesis is allready crossed. Are you 100% shure your ethernet card is working, i.e. have you tried it in a network?

i dont own an hd24, but is it possible to use the hard drive from the hd24 in your PC? if it is, just take the drive out from the hd24 and place it in you pc as a second hard drive, and transfer the files over? is that possible? just a silly suggestion
